Taung Child was founded in the late 90s in Colorado Springs, CO. After a stint in the Boulder area, Taung Child moved HQ to Atlanta, GA for a while, before evacuating to areas around the globe.
not a lot of output
historical artifacts dwindled
Taung Child recorded some music and played a lot of shows. In the end, we didn’t keep much, so we started over. Some highlights
- Seven Shitty Songs You’ll Hate (1995)- Got a bunch of airplay in the Boulder/Denver area and then the station went bust.
- Final Clearance Sale (1997)- A long album with a bunch of different recording sessions. We got to work with the legendary Rob Mallard (Rest in Power)
- The Ancient Harp (2020)- Recorded in London. Check it out.
